Penn State Brandywine is a commonwealth campus of the Pennsylvania State University located in Middletown Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States, with a current enrollment of 1,700 students. The campus was formerly known as Penn State Delaware County and Penn State Lima. The campus has baccalaureate and associate degrees and certificate programs. The campus is located on over 90 acres (360,000 m2) of grounds, 30 miles (48 km) from Philadelphia and within a few hours of New York, Baltimore and Washington, DC.

The campus received the 2007 Green Star Honor Award from the Professional Grounds Management Society.
The school has thirteen varsity athletics teams, club sports and intramurals, and student clubs and organizations.
Paul Greene, an associate professor of Ethnomusicology and Integrative Arts at Brandywine co-authored a book "Metal Rules the Globe: Heavy Metal Music Around the World" which was also co-edited by Jeremy Wallach and Harris M. Berger. This book is a staple to the study of music and its reach on the global population. Greene explores heavy metal in cultures throughout China, Japan, Norway, and Brazil.

Athletics
Penn State-Brandywine teams participate as a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). The Nittany Lions are a member of the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC). Men's sports include baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, ice hockey, soccer and tennis; while women's sports include basketball, cross country, tennis, soccer, softball and volleyball.
The Lion's Eye
The Lion's Eye was founded in 1968 to serve the students, administration, faculty, staff and visitors of the Penn State Delaware County campus, now known as Penn State Brandywine. Their goal is and has been to be professional and to follow the highest standards of quality journalism as set forth by the Society of Professional Journalists and their Code of Ethics. The Lion's Eye produces a bi-weekly newspaper distributed through the campus. The articles can also be found at www.PSUlionseye.com.
New buildings
Penn State Brandywine is currently under construction of two new buildings; a student union building and a residence hall, Orchard Hall. These buildings are scheduled to be completed in Summer 2017, with the residence hall housing students in the Fall 2017 semester. This is the first time students will be able to live on campus at Penn State Brandywine.
The residence hall will house 254 students and the student union building will include a dining hall, conference space, student recreation areas, the campus bookstore and student affairs offices.
